Features and functionality

Linkage to the MFC-9440 can be via USB or parallel port standard, with additional opportunities to connect an external Ethernet interface. The fax modem built into the machine, offering speeds up to 33.6 K for sending faxes in black and white only. Brother MFC-9440 need not be connected to a computer to fax or make copies, and users can send JPEG and PDF files to and from the direct USB interface.
